Wendy Lane - Director

I am the Owner and Director of Discovery Lane Day School. I opened our preschool in 2007 to serve our community and provide the opportunity for early childhood education here.

I have a degree in Elementary Education from Judson Women's College in Marion, Alabama. I also have a Master's Degree in Library and Information Sciences from the University of Tennessee (so I love to read and incorporate books and language in the classroom). I have taught first grade in the public school system. I have also taught toddlers, two-year-olds, three-year-olds, and Pre-K classes. Most of my experience teaching preschool has been right here at Discovery Lane!

My husband, Kirby, and I have been married for 25 years. We have two children. Kevin is a Junior at the University of Memphis and Cady is a Freshman at Tennessee Tech. They keep us busy and on our toes, for sure!

We have lived in the Spring Hill area for 18 years and enjoy living here very much. We also have two dogs and a cat that we spoil rotten on a daily basis! I love to cook and bake, read, travel, and watch SEC football! - GO DAWGS!

I am always available to our parents and guardians. Any time you have a concern, or just want to check-in and see how your child is doing, you are welcome to e-mail me, give me a call, or set up a time for us to meet in person.

I am thankful to our families for sharing their children with us. We are sure to make learning fun for your little one!
