Mrs. Laura - Teacher
I have taught at Discovery Lane for five years. I have also worked in Special Education for Williamson County Schools.
My family and I have lived in Thompson's Station for the past nine years. We lived in New Jersey, Vermont, and New Hampshire before moving to Spring Hill. My husband, Adam, is from New York. I grew up in Pennsylvania and Texas. We met in Rhode Island! We have certainly gotten to know the USA!
Even though our daughters were born in New Hampshire and New Jersey, they both have a bit of a "southern drawl" now, so we all feel pretty at home here in the south! We love it here!
I am a very active person and love working outside, constructing things and doing yard work! I have built a treehouse as well as a "duck house" for our three pet ducks. We also have three dogs: Lacey, Max, and Blitzen (yes, she was a Christmas present!) When I am not outside working or playing with my daughters, I am cooking or reading.
I enjoy all sports, but since I didn't grow up in the land of the SEC, I don't give our students a hard time about what jerseys they are sporting!
My favorite thing about Discovery Lane is the feeling of family here. Preschool is such an important time for children to begin to learn socialization and simple organizational skills. I am honored to be a part of this important time in children's lives!
