Fun & Creativity
Creativity is an important aspect of each school day for DLDS students. We provide opportunities for many hands-on art projects every week.
Children love music. We incorporate songs and movement into our school days to help children learn about everything from the different seasons, to how to spell their favorite color. Our parents often tell us that their little ones are singing at home the new songs that they have learned at school!
Busy little learners love to move and experience the world around them. Because we keep our class sizes small, our students have plenty of room to move and learn throughout the school day.
Developing speech, reading, and writing skills is at the forefront of our curriculum for all ages. We have a multidisciplinary approach to helping students highly develop language skills.
Math and science skills are part of a solid foundation for early learning and beyond. We offer students math related learning opportunities every day. We aim to make these opportunities hands-on experiences with activities such as science experiments, visits from animal specialists, and mini engineering projects.
We love to have playtime outside! We have a beautiful, covered play area for children to enjoy. As long as there is no inclement weather and the temperature is above 35 degrees and below 95 degrees, our students will spend at least one hour outside each day.
